TAACAP-LOGO

The Texas African American Community Archives Project (TAACAP) is a digital repository that collaborates with Black Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (BGLAM) to collaborate, develop, teach, archive, preserve, and implement community archives programming and engagement. TAACAP proudly partners with innovative digital archiving, historical institutions, and preservation platforms like Omeka, Community Webs, African American Vintage Genealogy, and The Vault to enhance its archival efforts. Together, these tools create a dynamic environment for preserving and sharing valuable information. This innovative project was launched in February 2025 under the leadership of Dr. kYmberly Keeton, a prominent figure in her field.
